It'sssss *Insert Pokemon name here*
I got hold of my first pokemon game when I was in 3rd grade and it rocked my world! I loved it and I played with it all day. I love the idea of a world filled with pokemons, replacing our boring average animals into cute, super powered, and destructive pokemons. I was so addicted to it that I never missed an episode of it, spend all of my lunch money on buying pokemon cards, and cried my eyes out so that my aunt would let me play another hour of pokemon.
10 years later I still love them. There are exactly 493 pokemons and I know all of their names and powers. I know, I'm a pathetic geek. I once used "Hi miss, do you play pokemon?" as an opening line to have a conversation with a girl, the girl hopefully laughed, which is a good thing because I was expecting a WTF face towards me followed by a letter L on her forehead. My friends laugh at me whenever they remember that I still love pokemons.
The reason why I love them so much is not because they are cute, cool, and cartoony…well maybe that's why I love them 10years ago, but now, the truth is I see pokemons so much differently today than then. I see the pokemon universe as a very very dark universe. I see the pokemon owners as evil gamblers who abuse their pokemons for fame and fun. Imagine a pokemon wandering in the wilderness suddenly a trainer passess by and decided to catch that pokemon, first he must weaken the pokemon by attacking it until it's incapable of struggling, then the trainer will catch it by throwing a "poke ball", a small round device used to catch pokemons, it's insanely small, imagine yourself inside a ball, all day, until you are needed for battle.
After the trainer catches a pokemon, he forces it to battle other pokemons who has the abilty to Burn, Freeze, Paralyze, Poison and totally kill your pokemon. After the match the pokemons are taken to a hospital for a quick heal and then eventually fight again. If pokemons were real the PETA(People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals)
would probably be all over pokemon battles. So remember guys, it's not that I'm childish that I love pokemon…it's because I'm evil.
Man this blog entry is a surefire way to bore non-geeky girls to death.
I used the word pokemon 26 times including the last word and the title.
The image is not mine so don't credit me for it...Credit goes to the owner who is so nice he/she probably won't sue me. =)
